He has also owned commercial property management firms. Which specialize in manufacturing as well as residential sites. Dr.Arends has been a professor of accounting at Madonna University for almost twenty years and has ten years of administrative experience there. His teaching and research interests are in the cost and management accounting areas. Professor Arends teaches Managerial Accounting for Decision-Marking in MSBA Progam.

She has taught in the School of Business for the pass three years at Madonna University and is curently the Chair of Graduate Programs in Business at the University.
